Our Vapor Shippers are designed for the safe transportation of biological samples at cryogenic (-150°C or colder) temperatures. These units are constructed from strong but lightweight aluminum. All Vapor Shippers employ a hydro-phobic absorbent that has a three-fold function. First the absorbent holds liquid nitrogen for "spill-free" shipping while still maintaining cryogenic temperatures. Second, the absorbent acts as a repellent against humidity and moisture to ensure a maximum holding period. Lastly, due to its repellent nature, the absorbent elliminates the necessity of drying out between uses.
A protective shipping carton is available for all models (except the SC 20/12V) which protects the container from being placed on its side and helps in withstanding the rigors of transportation. These containers can be used to ship your samples with a "non-hazardous" classification throughout the world, thus reducing costs and helping to assure sample viability.
